UPDATE/KENNEWICK, WA. - An accident at the intersection of Highway 395 and Clearwater caused quite a traffic tie-up Tuesday morning.

Police say a car turning on Vista Way failed to yield and hit a dump truck. The collision left glass covering parts of the road. State troopers used their cars to push the truck out of the way of oncoming traffic.

No one was seriously injured..However, the car causing the accident did have extensive damage.

"The vehicle that caused the crash is totally demolished its being towed from the scene right now. He hit him from the drivers side which basically busted his whole rear axel and busted the drive line as well," said Washington State Trooper Chris Thorson.

Troopers did not say whether the driver of the car will face any charges.
