Local Biker Group Stars Donation Drive for Fire Victims

YAKIMA, WA. -- You might be wondering what you can do to help fire victims. Well one local group took that feeling one step further by setting up their own donation drive.

John Drakes is apart of the non-profit motorcycle group called The Reckin' Crue. John said with all the devastation he's seen, they felt like they had to do something to help.

The group hopes to fill John's truck and a donated box-truck with supplies to take up to fire victims on Friday. John says the drive started Tuesday morning, but has really taken off in a short time.

"I was just trying to put stuff in the back of my pickup to go up," John Drake said. "But it has really taken off a life of it's own. We've been loaned box trucks and the use of vans and other vehicles. We just want to see people get the things they need to get through the day."

Some other places accepting donations is Grumpy's Outdoor Store on South First Street and the local Red Cross Chapter. If you want to add to the Reckin' Crue's donation drive go to 1211 N. 16th Ave at the Plant Center. You can also contact John at (509) 941-7263 or at reckincrue@gmail.com.
