SEATTLE (AP) - President Obama has declared an emergency in Washington because of wildfires burning the past two weeks.

The declaration Wednesday authorizes the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Department of Homeland Security to coordinate disaster relief and help state and local agencies with equipment and resources.
