BOARDMAN, OR - Oregon State Police are investigating the second death this week of a worker at an Oregon Department of Transportation work site.
Police say a road construction worker from Sparks, Nevada died Wednesday night while working on a paving project site on Interstate 84, about seven miles west of Boardman.
Troopers say 64-year-old Glen Warren McCoy worked for Diversified Concrete Cutting, a construction company out of Nevada, contracted with ODOT to install rumble strips.
Police say McCoy was working near a Dodge pickup, which was towing equipment, when his coworker slowly drove the pickup forward. McCoy died after he was run over by the rear tires.
Earlier this week, Police say an ODOT employee, 54-year-old Donald Kendall died while working on a chip seal paving operation on Highway 320, south of Echo. Troopers say Kendall died when he was run over by an ODOT dump truck that was backing up.
