SPOKANE, Wash. -- Four walks and a Jose Trevino sacrifice fly were all the Indians needed as Spokane scored all four of its runs in the first inning to top the Vancouver Canadians 4-2 at Avista Stadium on Sunday night in front of 4,184 fans.

Vancouver starter Zak Wasilewski walked the game’s first three batters to load the bases for Luke Tendler, who reached on an error that scored Isiah Kiner-Falefa. Trevino would then score Seth Spivey with his sacrifice fly. Juremi Profar singled home Marcus Greene and would later score himself on a passed ball.

Reed Garrett started on the mound for Spokane and earned his fourth win of the year. He posted five innings while striking out six, surrendering a single run. Austin Pettibone tossed two frames, and Shane McCain – one of eight Spokane NWL All-Stars – closed out the game with his third save.

Jose “Pepe” Cardona, making his Avista Stadium debut, tripled and drew a walk.
