23 People Arrested at Water Follies

KENNEWICK, WA - Kennewick Police say they had no major incidents during the three days of the Water Follies in Columbia Park.

On Friday, officers say they cited one person for having alcohol in the park, and one person for having marijuana in public.

Saturday, officers had 630 self-initiated contacts with people at the park, and made 16 arrests. Police arrested seven people for having alcohol in the park, one person for assault, one for obstructing, one for reckless driving, one for lewd conduct, one underage person in possession, one person for driving with a suspended license, and three warrant arrests.

Officers also helped to reunite a 3 year child with its mother.

On Sunday, officers had 600 self-initiated contacts with people at the park, and made 7 arrests. Police arrested four people for disorderly conduct, one person for resisting arrest, one person for having marijuana in public, and one person in possession of stolen property. Officers say one person stole a golf cart, but police later found it and arrested the thief.

Officers also helped to reunite two young children with their parents.
