SPOKANE, Wash. -- The Spokane Indians came into Tuesday's clash with the Vancouver Canadians riding high on a three game winning streak, and after opening up a 4-0 lead things looked promising, but things all came crashing down as the Canadians pulled out a 11-6 win at Avista Stadium on July 29.

The Indians (28-18) got things started in the first loading the bases for Northwest League leading hitter Seth Spivey, who grounded into a fielder's choice, but still got a run on the board when Pinto came in to make it 1-0 in the bottom of the first.

Spokane went on to add three more runs in the second inning on a Saquan Johnson RBI double down the first base line with two men on, with Isiah Kiner-Falefa hitting a two RBI single to right field to score Charles Moorman and Johnson.

Then things went downhill quickly for Spokane.

The Canadians (28-18) scored plated two in the top of the third, and after a scoreless fourth, went on to score seven total runs in the fifth and 6th innings. Despite Spokane re-taking the lead in the bottom of the fifth thanks to a two-out rally performance from Spivey and Jose Trevino to briefly lead 6-5.

The Indians made things interesting in the bottom of the eighth when they loaded the bases with only one out, only to watch Eduard Pinto's line drive down the third base line be snagged by the Canadians three sacker Christian Vazquez, who promptly dove back to the bag to get the Spokane runner out for the inning-ending solo double play.

Vancouver tacked on two more runs in the top of the ninth on a Michael de la Cruz double.

Vancouver second baseman Tim Locastro finished the night 4-4 and scored 3 runs, while shortstop Franklin Barreto led the charge with 4 RBI on a 2-for-4 night.

The Indians will remain at Avista Stadium for a five-game homestand against Hillsboro starting tomorrow, July 30, before the Northwest League All-Star break, where Spokane will send a league leading eight players to the All-Star game.
