FIRST ON KHQ: Fire crews battle overnight house fire in northwest Spokane

UPDATE: The fire broke out on the second floor of a home in the 1800 block of W. Mission, and moved into the attic. Firefighters said the home was split into several apartments. 

One woman was treated for smoke inhalation, but otherwise everyone evacuated safely. Crews said the Red Cross was on the way to help people who are displaced. 

Investigators said so far they are not sure of a potential cause, or of a total damage amount.

SPOKANE, Wash.- On Tuesday night at 11:35pm Spokane fire crews were called out to a house fire in northwest Spokane.

The fire broke out in a two-story home at West Mission and North Oak. The home is located near Cannon Playground. When crews arrived there were flames showing and heavy smoke and those inside had been evacuated.

    MOSCOW, Idaho - The Latah County Sheriff's Office officially identified the 18-year-old boy found murdered earlier this week as Timothy Jacob Reeves from Pullman, Washington. The Sheriff's Office also said arrest warrants have been issued for 17-year-old Keagan Tennant and 18-year-old Matthew J. McKetta.

    TRENTON, N.J. - New Jersey has become the third state to raise its smoking age to 21. Republican Gov. Chris Christie signed into law Friday a measure that raises the age from 19. Hawaii and California are the only other states where the smoking age is 21.
