KENNEWICK, WA - One of the nation's largest christian music festivals is underway right now in Kennewick. It's Creation Festival Northwest at the Benton Franklin Fairgrounds and thousands of people are expected to check it out from now until Saturday.

Sound checks, tent city and lots of people. What could it be, other than a festival.

"A lot of great bands are coming and wonderful speakers. We're just here to encourage people, those that are believers and those that are looking for something in their life and they feel like something is missing. We're here to make a presentation of the gospel of Jesus Christ," said host Preston Centuolo.

"Very excited to be part of it, here in the Tri-Cities and have the event here. We're excited about the warm weather. It's definitely warm this week but still very excited to be back on this side of the mountains where we started out at the Gorge Amphitheater for 12 years," said executive producer Bill Darpino.

The fair grounds are transformed into a festival venue with several stages throughout the area featuring different genres like country christian, indie and hip hop music.

"We have a great program and we're looking forward to having SwitchFoot, Need To Breathe, the Newsboys. We even have the star actor, Kevin Sorbo, from the God's Not Dead film that was recently out, in tomorrow," said Darpino.

Each of the bands will host a meet and greet with fans after they perform.

"I'm sure you're picking up that great noise behind us. But that's why we're here! So if you like that, then come on out to Creation Northwest. It's going to be a great few days," said Centuolo.

You can purchase tickets at the door and they start at $45.
