Three Teens Arrested on Burglary Charges in Yakima Valley

YAKIMA, WA - Three young men are booked on burglary charges after allegedly breaking into a Terrace Heights home and a Selah home.

The Yakima County Sheriff's Office reports the first attempted burglary happened around 8:15 a.m. Thursday in the 3900 block of Commonwealth Drive in Terrace Heights. The people who live there left for a few minutes and when they returned a suspicious turquoise Honda Accord was parked near their home. A male told the residents he was looking for his keys. The residents then noticed a back gate open and a window screen out of place before they saw two other males running from the back of their home. That time, the suspects got away.

Less than two hours later in the 600 block of N. 14th Street in Selah another burglary was interrupted. The suspects reportedly matched the three males from the Terrace Heights incident. A Yakima County Sheriff's deputy found the Honda with the males inside. Selah Police and Sheriff's deputies stopped the vehicle and took the three suspects into custody.

The suspects are identified as 16, 17, and 18-year-old from Yakima. Police booked the adult into the Yakima County Jail and the two minors into the Yakima County Juvenile Detention Facility.
