YAKIMA, WA. -- Students will be heading back to school before we know it and teachers begin preparing their classrooms for school on August 18th. When Davis High School teachers come back, they'll find brand new classrooms.
Construction of the new school is in phase 3 of 4 as crews are working on finishing the gymnasium and the library. Workers say when they're all finished, the school is going to have the newest technology.
"It's a nice building," John Vandervate of Absher Construction said. "A lot of nice buildings. They're going to have a new gym. A nice functional facility that's going to last them a long time."
More than 80 construction workers are working around the clock to finish the 100-million dollar project by next August.
