YAKIMA, WA-- What is old is new again as hundreds of cherry classic cars are making their way to Yakima for the 40th Annual Vintiques of Yakima at State fair Park.

Organizers said there are more than 700 cars all made before 1972 on display at the fairgrounds.

This is the 40th year and the biggest one yet with the largest turnout from car owners.

Brian Maybee from the Vintiques of Yakima said every year it is great to see people connect with cars they have not seen in decades.

"That’s the best art about it. The smiles on their faces and the excitement when they see something that either their brother had, or their mom or their dad or their grandparents," Maybee said.

This is for people of all ages.  There is also a fundraiser for Children’s Wishes and Dreams as well in case you want to help out kids with life-threatening illnesses in our area.

The event runs Friday and Saturday at State fair Park.  Tickets range from $5.00 to $10.00. You can also get a family pack of tickets for $20.00.
