UPDATE: 81-year-old woman killed in Deer Park crash

DEER PARK, Wash. -

DEER PARK, Wash.- An 81-year-old woman was killed in a crash Friday afternoon at 4:24pm. It happened on Highway 395 and H Street in Deer Park.

81-year-old Myrna Brison was driving a Chevy Equinox, crossing Highway 395 at H Street when her vehicle was T-boned. A Washington State Patrol trooper told KHQ 51-year-old Edward Buchanan was driving his Ford F150 south on Highway 395, when he t-boned the Equinox.

Both Buchanan and his passenger, 49-year-old Matthew Forsman, were injured and taken to Sacred Heart Medical Center. Troopers say drugs or alcohol were not involved.

At this point there is no clear indication of which driver was in the wrong. An investigation remains ongoing.

The first day of summer is traditionally the first day Siemers Farm at Greenbluff opens.  A long-time farmer and owner Byron Siemers says this year is a great crop. "They are a bit smaller, but that means they are also sweeter," Siemers says.
