KHQ.COM - There are reports of trees down, massive power outages and a number of brush fires caused by a fast moving storm sweeping through the Inland Northwest.  There are also reports of hail and gusts up to 60 miles per hour.

    Alaska rescue group takes in alligator that outgrew bathtub

    WASILLA, Alaska - It was an odd day for one Alaska animal control officer who took a call about an alligator outgrowing its bathtub. KTUU-TV reports that a Wasilla resident called 911 this week after realizing that the more than 4-foot-long (1.2-meter-long) alligator named Allie couldn't live in a tub anymore. Rescue group Valley Aquatics took Allie in.

    LYNN, Mass. - The owner of a Massachusetts coffee shop says she's closing her business because of the firestorm created when her daughter, the store's manager, made anti-police comments on Facebook. The owner of the year-old White Rose Coffeehouse in Lynn tells The Daily Item she is closing "so I can stop being harassed."
