Missoula County Sheriff’s officials responded to reports of a body in the Clark Fork River about 3:45 Tuesday afternoon near the Bitterroot Confluence.

The area is about 200 yards west of Grove Street near Home Harvest Loop. A fisherman identified the body and led deputies to the location.

Search and rescue crews got in the water and led the body downstream, where it was removed without further incident. The unidentified male was transported to the Montana State Crime Lab. Sheriff's officials aren't releasing any further information.
