Man Shoots Himself At Playfair Park - NBC Right Now/KNDO/KNDU Tri-Cities, Yakima, WA |

The parking lot at Playfair is closed off after a man shot himself inside his car on Thursday.

Sgt. Travis Welsh with the Missoula Police Department said the man's brother called 911 about 1 p.m., saying his brother was suicidal. Welsh said about 20 minutes later, the man called 911 and agreed to meet with an officer.

The officer pulled into the Playfair parking lot just after 2 p.m., and the man shot himself.

Police said no one seemed to be around at the time. The park is located near the YMCA, Splash Montana and an elementary school. They said there is no danger to the public.
