UPDATE: Police Arrest Transient in Rape Of Missoula Woman
A transient man is held on a $50,000 bond for allegedly raping a woman behind the Ole's on North Orange Thursday evening.
Court documents show 50-year-old Tommy Edmondson purchased alcohol for a 51-year-old woman then forced himself on top of her. The victim told police she didn't try to fight Edmondson, because she was afraid he would hurt her.
Edmondson also faces a felony charge for possessing drug paraphernalia.
Police Arrest a transient for allegedly raping a woman behind a local business. It happened about 5 p.m. Thursday, behind the 900 block of N. Orange Street.
Missoula police say they got a call from someone who suspected a rape was happening. Police say they found 50-year-old Tommy Edmondson on top of an unconscious or passed out 51-year-old Missoula woman.
Edmonson, a transient in Missoula, was arrested. He’ll appear in Missoula County Justice Court 2:30 p.m. Friday on felony charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, and sex intercourse without consent.
