2 men pulled from Seattle lake; 1 drowned, 2nd in critical condition

SEATTLE (AP) - One young man has died and a second remains in critical condition after divers found them unconscious Thursday night in Green Lake in Seattle.

KIRO reports (http://bit.ly/1pFZuUi ) fire department rescuers took them to Harborview Medical Center. One had reportedly been underwater for 30 minutes and the other 45.

A total of four men had decided to go for a swim about 9:30 p.m. but only two made it back to shore. Witnesses saw the other two men struggling.

Divers were deployed about 20 minutes after the men were last seen about 50 yards offshore.

    CLE ELUM, Wash. - The Washington State Patrol has closed all lanes of westbound I-90 at Ellensburg due to a major crash involving 16 cars and three semi-trucks.  Trooper Brian Moore tweeted the crash happened about 3 miles east of Cle Elum.  Initial reports are that so far there are only minor injuries involved.  Motorists should expect "extended delays" according to Trooper Moore.
