Spirit Lake fire under control; evacuations lifted

Posted: Updated:
SPIRIT LAKE, Idaho -

KHQ just spoke with Bob Howard with Bonner County Burn Emergency Management, he said the fire in Spirit Lake is 7 1/2 acres in size.

They have a full retardant line around the fire. All evacuation levels lifted and the fire is 100% contained.

PREVIOUS STORY:

According to Bonner County Sheriff's Office, there are level three evacuations for Cardinal Lane and Clagstone Road in Spirit lake due to a fire.

The evacuations are in a recently developed area, so it is difficult to know how many homes are being evacuated.

The size of the fire or cause is still unknown.

Kootenai County is also responding to the fire.

We will update you with more information as soon as we get it.
