UPDATE: Arrest made in deadly shooting, gunman still loose

Posted: Updated:

UPDATE: Spokane Police Major Crimes Detectives made a second arrest in connection to a deadly shooting at a North Spokane hotel.

Police arrested 24-year-old Stanley A. Tensley late Tuesday night on one charge of Conspiracy to Commit 2nd Degree Robbery.

Tensley's arrest comes one day after police released 30-year-old Joshua R. Smith because they lacked the evidence to directly link him to Sunday's shooting at the Howard Johnson Inn on North Division St.

Detectives said they arrested Tensley thanks to new evidence from witnesses to the shooting, which killed 32-year-old Richard C. Amodio.

Police believe the shooting was related to marijuana. Officers said Tensley will appear in court Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.

Detectives added that the shooter is still loose, and anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Crime Check at 509-456-2233.
