SPOKANE, Wash. -

A four-legged veteran named March needs your help.

American soldiers in Afghanistan first rescued March while she was still a puppy. After her rescue, she was given to a reporter covering the conflict in Afghanistan. From there, former U.S. Ambassador Ryan Crocker brought her to the United States.

March lived with Crocker for some time, but now Crocker can no longer take care her. She is an 8-year-old elk hound mix, who can be a bit territorial with people she does not know, but is also very loving and in good health.

Right now, March is being cared for at Glenacres Kennels on the South Hill. However, she needs to find a new permanent home, so she will not be put down.

If you would like to learn more about March or how you can help, call Sue at Glenacres Kennels at 509-535-2279. She can answer any of your questions or concerns. Please help March find her forever home.
