Spokane Police: armed man arrested for burglary, told people he was police officer

SPOKANE, Wash. - Spokane Police have arrested an armed man who they say broke into an apartment, threatened to kill a woman, and was impersonating a police officer.

Police arrested 18-year-old Anthony P. Brower around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday after receiving several calls about a suspicious person in the area of 8900 N. Colton St.

Callers told police Brower was carrying what looked like a rifle, and that he was telling neighbors he was a police officer.

Officers say Brower broke into an apartment in the area, which is near the "Y" in north Spokane, and he threatened to kill a woman.

Brower is facing charges of residential burglary and felony harassment for making a death threat..

He is scheduled to appear in court Thursday at 1:30 p.m.
