KENNEWICK, WA. - Two suspects are in custody after a home burglary along Canyon Lakes Drive in Kennewick.
Kennewick police say the couple who lives at the home returned from Spokane Wednesday to find their main door to the garage forced open. Once inside they found electronics and jewelry had been stolen.
A neighbor in the area has a video camera system which captured two suspects walking from the side of the home carrying a bag. Investigators recognized one of the suspects as Daniel Hunt, 30, of Pasco and also noticed the suspects driving a white Nissan Pathfinder.
A Criminal Apprehension Team began searching local motels for the SUV and found it at the Sage and Sun in Pasco. Shortly after officers saw Hunt walking through the parking lot. They arrested him and booked him into the Benton County Jail for burglary.
Officers later served a search warrant on the room and recovered the stolen items. As police continued to investigate, they also arrested second suspect Jon Paul Machen, 32, of Kennewick. He was also booked for burglary.
