Pendleton Grain Growers Sells 3 Stores, Closing 3

Posted: Updated:
LA GRANDE, Ore. (AP) - Pendleton Grain Growers Inc. is looking to make some big changes this upcoming fall.

By early September, the organization plans to close AG Supply retail stores in Pendleton, Athena, and Milton-Freewater. They also plan to sell their locations in Hermiston, Island City, and Joseph.

The group is looking to get out of retail services to focus on core divisions such as grain and seed.

They have not received any offers on the stores that are set to close.

The member-owned agricultural cooperative was formed more than 80 years ago.
