KENNEWICK, WA - As families and friends grieve the loss of the lives from the recent triple homicide, the community is working to help pay for funeral costs.

Volunteers were out at the Grocery Outlet on 4th Avenue in Kennewick Thursday for a car wash. We visited with some of them as they worked and collected donations. Some of them explained they felt the need to help the families left to mourn the recent deaths.

"It's sad. They were young. They still had a long life ahead of them and a baby that never had a chance. So it is really sad," said Joedie Hosley who was a mutual friend of the victims and a volunteer.

The car wash will be back out at the Grocery Outlet Friday from noon to about 6 p.m. if you want to stop by. They also told us there will be more fundraising events this weekend that they're still planning.
