YAKIMA, WA - A man is in the Yakima County Jail on a $100,000 bond after officers say he punched a police dog.

Alcala Zaragoza Leopoldo was booked into jail Thursday morning on two counts of assault, obstructing an officer, and harming a police dog.

Police say Leopoldo was in a car that fled a fight in a grocery store parking lot. When officers stopped the car, police say the man refused to cooperate, so the K9 was ordered to subdue him. Police say after Leopoldo punched the dog, officers tased him and arrested him.
