SWX-TV will now be broadcast in HD in the Spokane market over the air and on Comcast Cable.
SPOKANE, Wash. – SWX-TV, the Inland Northwest’s leader in local sports coverage, is proud to announce its broadcast signal is now available in high definition over-the-air on 6-2 and via Comcast cable on channel 112 in the Spokane designated market area.
“We are extremely excited to offer our local productions in HD,” Station Manager John Fritz said. “We pride ourselves on providing premier local sports coverage and we’re thrilled to improve the viewing experience for fans of our local teams.”
Local productions will be broadcast in HD including tonight at 10:30 p.m. when SWX Tonight recaps the region’s sports news. The Spokane Indians game against the Tri-City Dust Devils Saturday night at 6:30 will be the first live, local sporting event broadcast in HD on SWX. The entire high school and college football season will also be in HD starting August 29th when Post Falls travels to Sandpoint.
SWX-TV is a 24-hour local sports and weather station serving the Inland Northwest and Billings, Montana. It is home of Gonzaga University, Eastern Washington University, the University of Idaho, the University of Montana, Montana State University, Whitworth University, the Community Colleges of Spokane, the Spokane Indians, the Spokane Chiefs, the Spokane Shock, the Greater Spokane League, Inland Empire League, Mid-Columbia Conference, and Yakima Schools broadcasts.
