UPDATE / KENNEWICK, WA - Kennewick Police have arrested a man for burglarizing a home and then leading police in a chase late Monday night.

Officers say they found the truck belonging to 46-year-old Cashius Clay Ray at his home on Yellowstone Avenue, where police recovered property from the burglary the night before.

Officers booked Ray into the Benton County Jail for burglary and eluding a police officer.

KENNEWICK, WA - Kennewick Police are looking for a man who burglarized a house and then led officers in a chase. Police responded to the home of 58-year-old Jose Meja on the 3100 block of West 4th Avenue late Monday night, when neighbors reported hearing sounds of breaking glass. The home was vacant at the time, and is currently under renovation.

Officers say when they arrived, they saw a black, older model Dodge 4X4 parked in the driveway. When the robber saw police, officers say he got in the truck and drove off.

Police say they tried to stop the man at 4th and Morain, but a slow-speed chase continued until the truck started to speed recklessly at 7th Avenue and US 395.

When police went back to the home, officers determined the man must have broken a window to get inside, where he stole a laptop. Officers also believe the robber cut a lock to steal tools from a shed. Police say they recovered some of the tools as they fell out of his truck bed during the chase.
