PASCO, WA - An 18 year-old Pasco man has pleaded not guilty to a fatal shooting at a Connell apartment last week.

Fernando Gonzalez is charged with the murder of 32-year-old John Bounhomsavanh. This morning, Gonzalez appeared for his arraignment before a Franklin County judge.

NBC Right Now obtained records filed by police that show that Gonzalez told officers that Bounhomsavanh was with two other men who knocked on the door. Gonzalez said the door flew open and he had to shoot one of them. The reporting officer states the story did not match what he saw in the apartment.

After giving officers a run through of what happened and before he was asked to repeat his story Gonzales asked, "What happens if there's another gun?" He then told officers he stashed a gun in a black duffle bag in the bedroom. Gonzales was also booked for possession of a pistol by a person from 18-21 years of age according to the documents.

"He shot my hommie, he shot my hommie and he didn't even go inside," is how one officer quoted Johnny S. Vongvilay who was at the apartment with Bounhomsavanh.
