Resale franchises Kid to Kid and Uptown Cheapskate continue to expand with announced store openings in Tennessee, Arizona, Texas, Georgia, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Nebraska and Idaho.

Salt Lake City, UT (PRWEB) August 20, 2014

Kid to Kid and Uptown Cheapskate, resale stores and trademark brands of BaseCamp Franchising, continue their growth with announced stores opening soon in Tennessee, Arizona, Texas, Georgia, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Nebraska and Idaho.

Currently, Uptown Cheapskate has 42 stores and Kid to Kid has 105 locations throughout the United States and Portugal, with an additional 15 franchise units planned to open by the end of 2014.

It's an exciting time here at BaseCamp as we continue to experience rapid growth for both our upscale resale brands, said Scott Sloan, co-founder of Uptown Cheapskate. We attribute some of this success to a gradual change in the way people view resale as more of a mainstream alternative to the mall. Also, as weve become more sophisticated in our management tools, its made multi-store ownership more accessible. Many of our franchisees have added additional storesboth of the same brand and cross-concept. This creates a win-win for both BaseCamp Franchising and our franchisees.

Kid to Kid and Uptown Cheapskate both offer current, stylish, gently used items in an upscale shopping experience. Kid to Kid buys and sells new and gently used childrens and maternity clothes, toys, books, and baby gear. For young adults, Uptown Cheapskate buys and sells new and like-new name brand clothes, shoes, jewelry and handbags.

You dont have to be a fashion expert to be a part of the Uptown Cheapskate franchise. Similarly, you don't have to know the latest clothing or toys to own a Kid to Kid franchise, said Dave Martell, Business Development Manager. Our franchisees come from a wide range of backgrounds, and the common thread among them is a belief in the resale model as a way for stylish young men and women, mothers and fathers to save on the styles they love. We provide the tools and in-depth training it takes to learn how to price items and control inventory, and sophisticated reports that help manage gross margins at nearly 70 percent. Its a great partnership for our franchisees because they get the training and tools they need in order to leverage our experience for success. Their positive experiences are what enable us to keep growing in more and more states.
