DARRINGTON, WA. - A franchise of Pizza Hut has made a large donation to help the state of Washington recover from local disasters.

Emerald City Pizza on Tuesday presented a check of $200,000 to the Washington Chapter of the American Red Cross in Darrington. The money raised will be used to aid local disasters, including the Oso landslide and recent wildfires.

Pizza Hut donated a percentage of its sales from 108 local restaurants toward relief efforts.
