UPDATE: Deputies Arrest Benton County Man after Mobile Home Fire

UPDATE / BENTON COUNTY, WA - Benton County Sheriff Deputies have arrested a man in connection with a fire that destroyed a mobile home. 

Deputies say a neighbor called in and reported the fire early Thursday morning. When deputies arrived, the woman living there said her husband, 46-year-old Sergio Mendoza, lit their trailer on fire and ran off after an argument. 

Deputies say Mendoza later called dispatch and said where he was. Deputies went there and took him into custody.

No people were hurt, but firefighters say two dogs died in the fire. 

The Red Cross has stepped in to help the family because the mobile home is a total loss.
