Cable Bridge Goes Teal for Ovarian Cancer Awareness

Posted: Updated:

PASCO, WA - The Cable Bridge over the Columbia River has turned teal, and will stay that way through September to promote ovarian cancer awareness.

The group "Ovarian Cancer Together" held a special ceremony Thursday night at the Clover Island Inn to commemorate the event.

This is the 2nd year the group has turned the bridge teal as part of Ovarian Cancer Awareness month.

Organizers say two out of every three women diagnosed with ovarian cancer will die from the disease, and they hope the teal lights will help put the spotlight on awareness.
