RICHLAND, WA- Paw's for a Cause brought hot dogs and a car show to raise money to help local shelters in the Tri-Cities.

Paw's for a Cause raised donations for Pet Over Population Prevention, Benton County Animal Control, and the Benton Franklin humane Society.

The event had hot dogs from Dig-A- D's, a car and bike show, a silent auction, and prizes.

The owner of Paw's Natural Emporium said they thought of the idea two years ago and would like to keep it going.

“We were trying to come up with a way to raise some money for local shelters and we wanted to do something different.  Me and my husband have been active in the car club, so we decided to have our own little car show and just have a Paw's for a Cause, Hogs, Dogs, and Rods,” said Dorothy Hunter, Paw's Natural Emporium owner.

The event was Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Last year they raised over $600 and they hoped to break that record this year.
