NBCRightNow.com - It was an all out rescue mission Tuesday night on the Snake River near Ice Harbor Dam.

According to rescue teams, an elderly couple's boat caught fire around 7 p.m.

Neighbors said they called 911 as soon as they noticed the smoke.

One man even took out his telescope and could see that people were in the water.

The couple held on to their boat until a nearby tug-boat from "Tidewater Tug" noticed the pair in distress and came to the rescue.

On the shoreline, they were met by fire crews and taken to Lourdes Medical Center.

The people at Lourdes tell NBC Right Now the couple was released from their care the same night and left without any severe injuries.
