PASCO, WA- The Fiery Foods Festival encouraged kids to get involved with their community.

The festival highlighted spicy foods, but people also saw cultural musical performances and American Idol winner Lee DeWyze.

The Downtown Pasco Development Authority said they were looking for more youth involvement in this year's festival.

“We want to invest as much as we can in our youth so that they can not only learn about community spirit but that they can take an active role in revitalizing the area too.  We work with the Leo's Club and the Pasco School District and they've been fantastic supporters,” said Michael Goins, Executive Director for DPDA.

The festival ended Saturday night.
