Fire Danger is "Very High" in Benton County this Week

Posted: Updated:
KENNEWICK, Wa. - The Benton County Fire District says the fire danger forecast for residents this week is "very high" due to dry weather.

According to the district, "very high" means wildfires start easily from all causes and may spread fast making containment difficult.

The district wants to remind everyone during this time, residential burning is not allowed within city limits with the exception of a legal recreational fire with a metal fire ring.

For more information on burning restrictions, contact the Benton Clean Air office at (509) 783-1304.
