PASCO, WA - The Chiawana High School community and others are coming together after one of their own suffered serious injuries from a fall over the weekend.

Mac Graff, a junior on the varsity football team and head football coach Steve Graff's son, seriously hurt his back after falling from a lookout while on a hunting trip...

A family friend has set up this "GoFundMe" account to help the family with Mac Graff's medical needs.

Mac went into surgery Sunday and already the family is getting tons of support, from food, to help maintaining their house while they are at the hospital.

Chiawana Athletic Director John Cazier said Mac's mom, Dana Graff is also a teacher, she works at Mark Twain Elementary School also in Pasco.

Mac is a junior this year at Chiawana, his football jersey is number 10.

His football team and the whole community will be coming together on Friday  for a tailgate party at 5 p.m. At Edgar Brown Stadium, tickets are $10 and all the proceeds will go toward the family.

Plus the Chiawana Athletic Booster Club is making t-shirts with the words "Graff Strong".

If you would like to help, you can donate at any  U.S. Bank location as well as online, by clicking here.

The Chiawana Athletic Director says he has seen a tremendous amount of support already.
