New Attractions This Year At The Central Washington State Fair

Posted: Updated:

YAKIMA, WA.- The Central Washington State Fair kicked off Friday Afternoon. It features new attractions, music, and food.

Fair spokesperson Rob Phillips told KNDO they introduced a new ride this year called Freak Out. He told us it's not for the faint of heart and you should wait to eat until after you ride.

The fair is known for its food and they have some new things for people to enjoy. Vendors are selling deep fried Reece's Peanut Butter Cups, cheese curds, and their newest food invention, the glazed doughnut hamburger.

Last year some unexpected rain caused fair attendance to drop by 10%, but Phillips told us he's hoping the rain holds off so everyone can enjoy the fun.

The fair lasts for 10 days and will wrap on September 28th, so there is plenty of time to come down and enjoy all the attractions.
