PASCO, WA- The American Cowboy Team Roping Association was in town for one of their roping competitions.

The event started Thursday and the ropers competed amongst hundreds to earn prizes such as saddles, ropes, and buckles.

The Trac Center in Pasco has been the home of the event for over a decade.

American Cowboy Team Roping Association President Clyde Saunders said the event was more like a family reunion because they see so many generations of ropers come together.

“What is really neat is that you have the whole family here.  Everybody's at this competition.  It's truly where families come to rope,” said Saunders.

The last day of the event is Sunday and doors open at 8 a.m. at the TRAC in Pasco.

Admission is free
