JUST ASK SHANE: What are they Building on Sylvester St. in Pasco?

Posted: Updated:
PASCO, WA - I get a lot of emails from viewers with questions about new construction projects around town.  Many of them are hoping for a new store or a new restaurant to move into the area.

This... is not one of those stories.

Elizabeth is one of several folks who have sent me emails recently asking the same question, "Can you please investigate what is being built next to the Gesa Credit Union on Sylvester Street in Pasco?"

I talked with the city of Pasco's community development department and found out that Gesa actually owns that piece of land.  So, then I spoke with Bryan in Gesa's marketing department and found out that Gesa is building a new administrative services building next to their branch on Sylvester Street.

What is an administrative services building?  In this case, it's essentially a large storage facility.  Gesa wanted to consolidate all the storage spaces that they have scattered around the Tri-Cities into one centralized space.  The building will be one story, with a basement, and a little over 6,000 square feet.  They're hoping to have the construction completed by the end of this year, or early 2015.
