First Hanford Timecard Fraud Trial to Start Monday

Posted: Updated:
RICHLAND, Wa. - Five former supervisors from the Hanford Tank Farms are set to go on trial on Monday for timecard fraud.

Prosecutors say the five supervisors scheduled workers for a full shift of overtime and would let them leave early. The former supervisors also claimed overtime for themselves.

Court documents show they were each paid between $12,000 and $64,000 dollars in overtime while CH2M Hill Hanford Group held the tank farm contract from 1999 to 2008.

Between all five supervisors, prosecutors say the overtime payout topped $100,000.

The government plans on using evidence provided by nine tank farm workers who were supervised by the defendants.
