Summary of Incident: Kennewick, Wa.

The following incidents were reported on October 1st, 2014:

14-31518 – Graffiti / 627 S Union

Denise Konzel reported that an unknown suspect spray painted “URBAN 5 999” on the entire side of her garage. She was in the process of painting over the graffiti.

14-31527 – Graffiti / 1606 S Ely (Reese Concrete)

An unknown suspect used black spray paint to paint “999” on the front of the main building.

14-31542 – Graffiti / 3326 W 24th Ave

Linda Earp reported that an unknown suspect used black spray paint to paint a large number 15 with three dots at the upper right of the number.

14-31573 – Graffiti / 3307 W Kennewick Ave (Skipper's Seafood)

An unknown suspect used spray paint to paint “URBAN 15” with three dots.

Officers are following up today with local schools to see if they have had any similar tagging. This type of graffiti is not necessarily gang related. This type is termed "tagging" and could be done by a group of people but most likely a single individual.

Anyone who has seen similar tagging is encouraged to contact police.
