Born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas, Raven is excited to start her journalism career at NBC Right Now.  She joined the team in July 2014, after graduating from Loyola University New Orleans in May 2014 with a degree in Mass Communication and a minor in Political Science.

Raven has always had an interest in news from an early age.  In high school, she worked on her church's media team, becoming the first youth anchor at the over 7,000 member church, making it the largest black church in Arkansas.

During the summers in college, Raven interned twice at KATV Channel 7 in Little Rock.  She interned at WVUE Fox 8 in New Orleans during her senior year of college, where she worked with some of the top reporters and anchors in the area.

Raven is also an active member of the first African American sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, with over 265,000 members world-wide.

When she is not watching the news, Raven enjoys playing her guitar and piano, exercising, and exploring the world around her.

Raven is excited to work for NBC Right Now and is looking forward to connecting with the community.  Connect with her at raven.richard@kndu.com
