Teenager Finds Missing 3-Year-Old Boy in Kittitas County

KITTITAS COUNTY, WA - Kittitas County Sheriff Deputies are thanking a teenager for finding a missing 3-year-old boy. 

Deputies say the young boy went missing near the 13,000 block of the Vantage Highway on Sunday.Kittitas County Sheriff Deputies, Kittitas County Search and Rescue, the Washington State Patrol, Ellensburg Police, Kittitas Police, Central Valley Helicopters, and the Kittitas Reclamation District all began searching for him, but 16-year-old Kade Nierman found the boy about two hours into the search. 

Deputies say Nierman had been hunting in the area. He found the boy about a mile and a half from home in the sagebrush covered hills. The child had walked away from his home with his dog, and wasn't hurt.
