FINLEY, WA - A 53-year-old man has been located as a person of interest in the marijuana burglary that took place on October 3rd. That man is Daniel Hansford.

A search warrant was served on a Benton County house for evidence that related Daniel Hansford to the burglary.

Then Hansford was located at the 400 block of 3rd Street in Benton City after he called a family member and complained about injuries from gun shot wounds. He had waited a total of 40 hours to get care.

Sgt. Kevin McCary with the Benton County Sheriff's Office said that "what led us there was the report that he had gunshot wounds and then the type of gunshot wounds that he had. Which were consistent with the type of gun that was used, which was a shotgun".

Hansford was treated at KADLEC and is expected to survive from his injuries. Police did try to question him but he had hired an attorney by that time. Hansford is not in police custody as of Tuesday, yet there will be a review by the prosecutor's office for possible charges.
