Four Oregon Kids Severely Sick with Enterovirus

OREGON - The Oregon Health Authority says four kids in the state of Oregon are severely sick with Enterovirus.

Doctors say three kids in Multnomah County and one in Deschutes County are being treated in intensive care.

The Center for Disease Control says Enterovirus has been confirmed in 46 states.

The virus causes serious breathing problems in children. The Center for Disease Control says it may have led to a few deaths.

    BOISE - A Boise Police officer was intentionally hit by a driver early Wednesday morning, according to the department.  The officer pulled the car over at around 4:00 am. During the stop, police say the driver intentional hit the officer and then drove away.  The suspect is still on the loose.  The officer was rushed to the hospital for treatment. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

    MISSOULA - A Montana inmate says the Missoula County jail is violating his constitutional right to freedom of religion by not letting him smoke marijuana. The Missoulian reported Tuesday that 34-year-old Adam Owen Grady filed a complaint in federal court, citing a Bible verse that says God gave people "every herb bearing seed."
