Gesa Carousel of Dreams Opens after 13 Years of Waiting

KENNEWICK, WA- The Gesa Carousel of Dreams opened its doors Saturday for the public.

13 years and over $4 million later, people can enjoy the new facility and they celebrated that this weekend with jugglers, clowns, face paint, dancers, photo booths, and tons of other activities, along with carousel rides.

The founder Ken Johanning said he is relieved now that the carousel is up and running.  He wants people to come out and enjoy everything there is to offer.

“I just want them to come out here and experience what a treasure these 104-year-old horses are,” said Johanning.

The founder said he expected to see nearly 10,000 people this weekend for the grand opening.  People of all ages came out to see the carousel and be a part of Tri-Cities history.

Doors open again Sunday at 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Southridge Sports Complex in Kennewick.
