BENTON CITY, WA- Red Mountain wineries helped with the fight against Cystic Fibrosis, the life-threatening disease that affects the lungs and the digestive system.

It is the 3rd year for Uncork the Cure on Red Mountain.

The nine wineries there participated in a twtwo dayvent to raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Winery owners said they like helping this cause especially right now during the busy harvest season.

“They were looking to partner with a non-profit or a charity who would organize and do the legwork and keep and promote people on Red Mountain,” said Amie Lerch, development manager with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

100% of ticket purchases from the weekend went to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and organizers said they saw an increase in attendance to the event.
