Tri-City Americans' Governor & General Manager Bob Tory announced Monday that the team has traded 19-year-old forward Devon McAndrews to the Spokane Chiefs for a conditional pick in the 2015 WHL Bantam draft.

The Americans acquired the rights to McAndrews from Medicine Hat in a trade during the 2012-13 season. He joined the team during the 2013-14 season, recording three goals and eight points while playing in 52 games. McAndrews played for the Americans in two games this season.

“With 16 forwards with the team, we needed to get our numbers down,” Tory said. “This gives Devon an opportunity to continue playing in the WHL. He is a quality person and we wish him nothing but the best.”

The Americans are back at the Toyota Center this Friday, Oct. 17, taking on the Everett Silvertips.
